Abhishek Chaubey, an Indian Film Director was born on 30 March 1977, in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling from Hyderabad in the year 1995. In college, he took a bachelor course in English Literature in Hindu College of
and graduated in 1998. As he had interest towards filming and communications, he studied Film and Television Productions in Xavier College of Mumbai and began his career towards direction.

, ‘Makdee’, which released in 2002. The film has also been promoted in English as ‘The Web of Witch’. The movie was a comic thriller, and it comes under the category of children’s entertainment. It won second prize in ‘Chicago International Children’s Film Festival’ and the child artist, who played the lead role in the movie won the ‘Indian National Film Award for Best Child Artist’ in 2003.
