Marc Lumer is an animation visual development artist, a graphic designer, and a children’s book writer-illustrator. He has also been a Co-founder & Creative Director of Marc Lumer Productions since Sep 2021. He was born in France. He completed his secondary education at Ecole St Luc Tournai in 1980. After that, he took a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Graphic designer at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Visuels de ‘La Cambre’ in 1988. He has been living with his family in Los Angeles, California, United States. Marc Lumer spent his early career publishing comics for two of the most famous European Kid’s magazines, Tintin and Spirou. He worked as a Story Board Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios for a month. At Warner Bros, he worked as a Visual Development Artist on the Emmy Award winning shows Superman, the Animated Series, and Batman Beyond.

He worked as a Creative Director for two years (2006 – 2008) on Farbrengen Magazine and then Impact Magazine in Los Angeles. He created the brand, visual identity & templates and art-directed it for its two-year run. From Nov 2009 to Apr 2010, he engaged as an Illustrator & Designer at Hospichild for six months. Hospichild is a beautiful organization based out of Brussels, Belgium, supported by the European Union. They approached him to redesign their brand, website masthead, and a series of icons for various usages. Marc Lumer worked as a Writer & Illustrator at Hachai Publishing Inc for three years (2011- 2014). He published four books for them – either as an author or an illustrator, featuring the “Benny and Tzvi” characters that he had created.
Simultaneously, he worked as a creative director at Fish Grill from 2005 to 2015 in Los Angeles. Also, he was engaged as an author, illustrator, designer, and distribution consultant at Western Wall Heritage Foundation in Jerusalem for almost four years. The foundation commissioned him to create a concept, write a story (in collaboration with Len Estrin and Sruli Broocker), and illustrate a children’s picture book. He has published ten children’s books and his “Benny’s Mitzvah Notes,” written for his son Benny. The book was selected as a notable book of the year for younger readers for 2014 by The Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee. Also, his books are translated into Hebrew, Spanish, French, and Russian. In 2011, Jack Morton International approached him to help create a graphic style, and he worked there for four years.
From Oct 2016 to Dec 2021, he was a VP & Head of US Operations at Green Gold Animation. He was responsible for setting up and heading the administrative and creative day-to-day operations of Green Gold Animation’s studio in the USA. Also, Marc Lumer was engaged as an Executive Producer for Mighty Little Bheem (Netflix Original Series). He also collaborated with two-time Oscar-winning directors Brad Bird on The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
