Emily Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1979. She is a well-known American actress. She is most recognized for her appearances as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and Amara/The Darkness in Supernatural's 11th season. She also appears in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian as The Armorer. Emily was born in Sterling, Virginia, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She began acting in college, amateur, and professional theatrical plays while attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville. Swallow made her cinematic debut in 2008 with the military movie The Lucky Ones. In Los Angeles, she appeared in the world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House. In 2010, she won the Falstaff Award for her role as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew as the Best Female Performer. Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman co-created "Jac N Swallow," a theatrical performance that they presented in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theatre and Joe's Pub in 2012. The sitcom follows the duo's comedic escapades as they face quite diverse life issues with varying degrees of sanity and decency. Swallow made her television debut in Guiding Light, and she has subsequently been in Southland, Ringer, The Good Wife, Flight of the Conchords, Medium, Monday Mornings, and Rizzoli & Isles.
