Ayelet Zurer is an Israeli actress born on 28th June 1969. She was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She has completed her military service in the Israel Defense Forces. Currently, she lives in California, where she came to pursue a career in Hollywood. She has acted in a lot of Israeli TV shows and movies. She won an Israeli Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Nina in the 2003 film, Nina’s Tragedies.

Her first role in Hollywood was as Daphna Kaufman in Steven Spielberg’s Munich which was released in 2005. She played the role of Michaela in the 2007 Canadian drama film, Fugitive Pieces. She starred in two movies in 2008: Vantage Point, where she played the role of a terrorist, Veronica and Adam Resurrected, where she played the role of Gina Grey who falls in love with Adam. She appeared in the 2009 film, Ingenious as Gina and as the lead role in Angels & Demons. She starred alongside in the prequel of Da Vinci Code. She appeared in the 2011 movie, . In 2012, she played Carmen in . The same year she starred in the web series, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn as Colonel Mehaffey.

She landed the role of Lara Lor-Van in Man of Steel that came out in 2013. She acted in two TV series in 2013: Shtisel and Hostages. In 2015, she was cast in two movies: and Last Days in the Desert. She has been cast to play the role of Vanessa Marianna in the Marvel TV series, Daredevil. She’s currently filming for the upcoming movie, Ben-Hur. She has also participated in theater.
