, she was brought up by her parents alongside six other children. Unbeknownst to many, she has graduated from Cornell University in pre-med. The 2011 independent award-winning film Pariah (2011) was Oduye’s first significant contribution to the film industry.
She played the lead role and was nominated at the Independent Spirit Awards for the Best Female Lead apart from winning several other awards. Her latest projects include the 2019 mini-series ‘When They See Us’ and the 2018 short film 'Wanderland.
