Zoe Ball is a British radio and television host, actress, and producer known for the television series Offspring, The Lily Savage Show, the flick Still Crazy, and another television show, Mongrels.

The actress was born as Zoe Louise Ball on November 23, 1970, in Blackpool, Lancashire, to parents Johnny Ball, the children’s show host and Julia nee Anderson. However, her parents divorced when she was merely two years. She schooled at Heston Junior School in Hounslow initially.

However, later, her family relocated to Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, where she studied at Farnham Common First School and Farnham Common Middle School. After that, she switched to Holy Cross Convent School, Chalfont St Peter, and later, pursued higher studies at Amersham College of Art and Technology.

While she was a kid, she learned acting at the Young Theatre, Beaconsfield. The actress appeared on television for the first time when she was a child as a part of the audience on the show Saturday Superstore, where her father made a guest appearance.

Her first job was as a runner at Granada Television and researcher for Cool Cube. After that, she continued working as a researcher for quiz shows for two years in a row.

As a host, she is known for the shows The Big Breakfast and The Priory aired on Channel 4. She also presented Live & Kicking, another children’s series aired on BBC One and Playdays. She has the credit of presenting sMart with Jay Burridge and Mark Speight in 1994. The following year she was the presenter for Fully Booked, while later she hosted other shows like Top of the Pops.

She co-hosted the chat/music show The Priory, and the 2002 Brit Awards, along with Frank Skinner. Three years later, she presented the reality show Strictly Dance Fever, aired on BBC and Extinct, aired on ITV in 2006. Zoe has presented many other television shows such as Soapstar Superstar (second season), the talent hunt show Grease Is the Word, Britain’s Best Brain, a quiz series aired on Channel 5, and some episodes of The One Show.

Her other television credits include the shows Children in Need (BBC One), The Voice: Louder on Two, EastEnders: Backstage Live, and BBC Young Dancer. She has also narrated the shows The Nation’s favourite ‘70s Number One, The Nation’s Favorite ‘80s Number One, and Don’t Tell the Bride.

Ball has also participated as a contestant on the talent show Strictly Come Dancing, paired up with Ian Waite. Zoe is the first female to host the shows BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2.

Zoe was earlier married to the musician Norman Cook with whom she had a son named Woody and a daughter Nelly. However, the duo divorced after eighteen years of togetherness. Later, she got into a relationship with Michael Reed.
