Atul Satish Wassan is born on 23rd March, 1968 in Delhi. He is a former Indian Cricketer. He did his schooling from Guru Harkrishan Public School in Vasant Vihar, Delhi and was recognized for his cricketing talent at school.He has became a cricket commentator after retirement. His cricket career breakthrough season came in 1989-90, when he single-handedly won the Irani Trophy for Delhi by taking a fifer in the match against the rest of India. He had the natural ability to hit the deck hard and was also capable of bowling long spells. He has played 4 Tests and 9 ODI’s for India. He was a sturdy and hardworking medium pacer who did a decent job under the circumstances on two tours for India in 1990.
In New Zealand series, where he played all three Tests, he got the most number of wickets for India which was seven. His last appearance for India was at the Asia Cup in 1990-91. He was a part of the Indian team that beat Sri Lanka in the final at Eden Gardens. He ended his Test career at the age of 22 due to injuries. After retirement from cricket, he shifted to television industry hosting many cricket related shows. He has worked as an expert on sports channels like Ten Sports, DD National as pre-post match program fourth umpire. He has also worked as the Director of Cricket by Kandy Warriors in Lanka Premier League.
