Alberto Mar has worked in animation cinema since 2003 in the movie Magos y Gigantes, the first Mexican animated film in more than 20 years. He is well known for his animation movies, including “At the Edge of The Border” (2019),” Wicked Flying Monkeys” (2015),” Imaginum” (2005).

His most popular work Top Cat (2011), was released in both Spanish and English. The Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, which ran in the United States from 1961-1962, was the main idea for this Mexican-Argentine animated family action comedy film.

It made a major commercial success earning 14.7 million dollars worldwide. The film was one of the nominations for Premio Luminous Best Animation Film Award. Its trailer also received the 13th Golden Trailer award for the best foreign Animation/family trailer in 2012.
