Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta is a Bengali musician. Dasgupta holds a Master of Music degree from Rabindra Bharati University and received classical training from her father Pabitra Dasgupta and Maya Sen's Rabindra Sangeet. Dasgupta is an excellent artist who has worked in All India Radio and Television. To date, She has released 17 solo cassette albums, 14 cassettes, and 4 CDs for HMV and 10 contemporary music albums.
Dasgupta has earned many accolades along her journey for her fantastic voice some of them are the Promothesh Barua Award for Best Actress in 1995, the Anandolok Award for Best Actress in 1998, 2002, and 2003, Dishari for Best Female Playback in 1998-99, Uttam Kumar Award for best Rabindra Sangeet Cassette Esechho Prem in 1997, Sailajaranjan Award in 1998 and Cha-Cha-Cha Award for outstanding achievement in music for the decade 1990-99. Dasgupta Won first place in the 1985 All India Singing Talent Competition, where she was awarded the Millennium Karaka Award for her outstanding contribution to Indian music. In 2004, her album of Rabindra Sangeet's CHENA FAGUN was selected as the Best Rabindra Sangeets Album (among female artists).
