Son of Kana Acharya and Rohini Nandan Acharya, Srikanta Acharya was born in Kolkata, India. Modern Bengali vocalist Srikanta Acharya hails from Kolkata. One of Rabindra Sangeet's most well-known practitioners is Acharya. Dakshina provided him with official training in Rabindrasangeet. Ustad Ali Ahmed Khan also taught him how to play the tabla. He left his position as a sales representative before being persuaded to send his tapes to Sagarika Music by Utpal Chakravarty, the owner of a disused music store. He is an exceptional Bengali song-tan. "ak thank pakhi" is one of Srikanta Acharya's most well-known albums. He produced numerous music albums with a variety of Bangla songs.
