Sharmi Chakraborty worked as a teacher at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy. Sharmi herself received training under Kavita Baliga and Kelesey Gavar. Sharmi completed her MBA in Economics and took up a job in Kolkata. But by the time, she was inclined towards music and started her first studio. Sharmi eventually left her corporate job and joined the KM Music Conservatory to expand her interest and career in music.
