Sandip Bhattacharjee is a singer of Indian origin. His style of singing is Indian Classical and belongs to the Kirana Gharana. He was born in Krishnanagar in West Bengal in 1980. Sandip learned music from Krishna Bhattacharjee, his mother. Later he learned from Amrita Dasgupta. In 1996, he joined the ITC – Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. He also trained under Mashkoor Ali Khan. He later went to the Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Music. In 2012, he became a residential scholar at the ITC – Sangeet Research Academy.
In 2022, he was felicitated with the Bharat Dignity Award to honor his contribution to Hindustani Classical Music. He was also honored with the Ustad Faiyyaz Ahmed Khan & Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan Memorial Award in 2017 and Sparkling Jewel Award by The Hindu. He has been felicitated with the title of Sur Mani in 2006 by Sur Singer Samsad.
