Moinak Dutta

Moinak Dutta is a Bengali Indian actor, writer, director, producer, composer, singer, and musician. His nickname is Shaivya. He was born on July 11, 1987. Moinak Dutta’s place of birth is Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He completed his higher secondary education at The Future Foundation School, Kolkata, West Bengal. After that, he went to the University of Calcutta, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. His nationality is Indian. He belongs to the Bengali family. He was always fascinated and drawn towards performing arts. During his school days, he enjoyed taking part in school plays. His hobbies are travelling, writing, dancing, sketching, listening to music, reading, and producing music.

After passing out from school, Moinak Dutta got involved with a few NGO’s who regularly conduct educational and awareness programs in cases like child marriage, health, women empowerment, etc. He commenced his career in performing arts as an EMCEE, anchoring, and hosting various BTL, ATL, and Corporate & Creative Events. Soon this exposure made his way towards onscreen as he became the finalist of Sangeet Bangla VJ hunt. It was a sequel to the cult Bengali film Chaarmurti based on writer Narayan Gangopadhyay’s famous novel. Besides onscreen acting, he also pursued voice acting as he started dubbing for many animation films and live actions movies. After working for many years in the Bengali television and film industry, he wanted to expand his horizon, and decided to move to Mumbai late in the year 2018. Over the years, Moinak Dutta also stepped into various different roles, as a writer and a musician. He tried his hand at writing a few scripts. He published his first story “Courier Service,” available on Amazon Kindle. He penned down the lyrics for music videos such as Aerial (2021) and Enemy (2022). In 2021, he wrote a short story titled Moksha. Also, he started releasing his music under the pseudonym Shaivya. He initiated producing music from December 2020. Since then, he released more than thirty original tracks including three tracks in English, Bengali, and Hindi, where he also gave his voice as a singer.
