A music director from Calcutta choir who ensured that the background scores for films, serials and feature films in Bengali, Kalyan Sen Bharat has given songs to movies such as Aguner Pakhi. Born and brought up in West Bengal, Bharat was attracted to classical music. Apart from this, he was also a great admirer of Rabindranath Tagore.
Kalyan is majorly known for his Classical and Folk music. In 1980, he directed musical scores for the documentary Newspaper, which was directed by Suvashis Dutta. He was awarded by North American Bengali Association for his excellence in music. He participated in several cultural events.
