Gita Dey

Gita Dey is a Bengali actress as well a theater artiste. She worked in over 200 Bengali films. She also has over 2000 stage shows to her credit. Gita Dey ventured into the Bengali film industry when she was just six years. Gita was born on 5th August 1931. 

Gita Dey has been an active member of All India Radio since 1954.She acted in radio plays and the last one was Badsahi Chaal. 

Gita Dey took up varied roles in her career and she is versatile. Gita performed in comic and negative roles with equal panache. She is best known for her role in Meghe Dhaka Tara. 

Gita Dey was active in Bengali films for a long period.
