Tapas Paul is an actor as well as a a member of Parliament. He is a Bengali actor from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Mr. Tapas Paul has won the 2009 Indian General Elections and emerged as a Member of Parliament from the constituency Krishnanagar. He has won the Trinamool Congress party ticket. He is a renowned actor in Bengali film industry and is a prolific politician too.

EARLY LIFE

Tapas Paul is the son of Dr. Ganesh Pal of Chandannagar. He was born in a village in Burdwan district which is on the outskirts. He is the first from the family to begin the career in film industry and politics. His debut movie which pushed his career was “DadarKirti” in 1980, directed by Tarun Majumder, and was an instant superhit. He received many accolades and applauds for his debut movie. His acting skills bagged him many roles later. In 1976, he completed his Higher Secondary education and later joined Mohsin College in Hooghly for B.sc in Bio-Science in 1979.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Mr. Tapas Paul has worked in many movies which bagged him name and fame. Once, he was travelling on a train, and he got noticed by the noted director Sriniwas Chakraborty, who gave him the acting proposal. Tapas Paul played the romantic role in many movies.
