Reshmi Mitra was born and nurtured in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She went to Calcutta University for completing her further studies. Moreover, she started working as a director, screenplay writer, and dialogue writer in the Indian Film Industry. She has mostly worked in movies, tv serials, and short films in Tollywood Film Industry. She made her debut in the industry by working in an action drama, Macho Mustanaa, released in 2012. She has been into theatre aspects like costume designing, publicity, etc. She has also organized events such as Film and Theatre Festival, and Award Functions. Some of her works include Piriti Kathaler Atha, released in 2011; Sleelatahanir Pore, in 2021; and many others. She is not that active on any social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
