Sudesh Issar
. He was married to Deepali, sister of popular actor,
Satyajeet Puri
. They have two children namely, Nivriti and Siddhant. Besides being a trained actor, he is also a professor of speech, method acting and diction. He also learnt mixed martial arts and he was skilled in wrestling, kung-fu, karate and boxing.
Puneet was first seen in the Bollywood action comedy film, Coolie which stars
Amitabh Bachchan
in 1983. One of the action scene in this film requires him to punch Amitabh Bachchan and the punch accidentally falls into his abdomen which injures him severely. Although Amitabh understand that things like that can happen while on shoot, many people blamed Puneet for the incident and he admitted that he encounter some difficulties in bagging roles in films because of the notoriety of the said incident. Moving on, the actor was usually acted as a villain in most of his films during the 80s and 90s including the Prem Shakti, Zakhmi Aurat, Teja, Jagruti, Palay Khan, Kal Ki Aawaz and more. In 2004, he directed the action film, Garv: Pride and Honour which stars Salman Khan and
