Barshali Chatterjee is a director who started her career in the year 2015. She studied at Barisha Girls High School and received a graduation degree in Communication and Media Studies from Calcutta University. Before directing her first movie, she worked as an assistant director in Star Jalsa and Zee Bangla serials. She entered the film industry in the year 2013 and was also associated with five mega serials. Her first movie ‘Jenana’ was released in 2016, which was a movie based on the lives of transgender men. She is known for films like ‘The Darling Wife’ and ‘Kulpi’. She won the Outstanding Achievement award for the movie ‘The Darling Wife’ at Virgin Spring Cinefest.
