Bornila Chatterjee, an emerging film director, was born in California. She’s well known among people for her outstanding direction n the film “The Hungry”. Her other films include The Sun Is Shining, Let’s Be Out, Dida Reema Anjana, White Lilies, Devil Mambo and Sweet Surrender. The film, ‘The Hungry’, is the adaptation of Sir Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus, which covered almost every people’s attention. It paved the milestone way for Bronila for her successive career. ‘The Hungry’ is about balancing moments of unapologetic melodrama and quiet and intimacy.
Her first work was Let’s Be Out; The Sun Is Shining(2012). She wrote it right away after her graduation. It’s a love story that got a massive response from the people’s side. Bornila gained much popularity and good fortune with this film. Bornila’s other work, Devil Mambo, is a story where a man finds himself and escapes from his dream, a kind of thriller and action, a new variety for the people from Bronila’s side. Her ‘White Lilies’ is another more incredible drama she wrote about a woman’s life with her comatose mother. It significantly impacted people’s minds; it gained her much recognition and reputation.
