Arjunn Dutta is an Indian Filmmaker and Screenwriter. He works in the Bengali film industry. He was born in 1986 in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Dutta's first project was a feature film Abyakto which was released in 1980. The film received critical appreciation and many awards at film festivals. He had released a short film called The 6th Element in 2016, which received positive critical reviews. His second film was Guldasta, which was released on October 21st, 2020. The film did moderately well after it was released. His third film Srimati is still in the making and has been halted because of the pandemic.
Dutta holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the Presidency College in Kolkata. His films are mostly based on what he sees in day-to-day life, debunking real-life situations and incorporating them into his films.
