Anjan Choudhury was an Indian screenplay writer, film director, and writer born on 25 November 1944 in Jessore, Bengal Presidency, British India. He predominantly worked in the Bengali film industry. He began his career as a journalist and writer for a magazine. He has been a part of several Bengali movies, such as Shatru, Guru Dakshina, Bidrohi, Boro Bou, Mejo Bou, Choto Bou, Anjali, Hirak Jayant, Mahajan, Bidhilipi, Indrajit, Maya Mamata, Abbajan, Naach Nagini Naach Re, Mukhyamantri, Jibon Niye Khela, Bangali Babu, Choudhuri Paribaar, Puja, Pratibaad, Devta, Mahan, Indrjeet, and Nabab. He passed away on February 21, 2007, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He left behind his wife and two daughters, and a son.
