Richa Pant is an Indian writer, producer, and creative director. She is a Bengali. She did Diploma in Documentary Production from National Film and Television School. She did her MA in Media and Journalism from the University of Westminster. She works as a Director at Media Indica. She has also worked as a Managing Director at Little India Production, New Delhi. She is the Co-Founder of The Himalayan Farm Project, Jeolikote, Uttrakhand. She was the Creative director at Mass Studios from 2016 to 2022. She worked as a Producer at BBC, London, UK, from 2002 to 2011. She has the experience of more than twenty years in journalism and documentaries. She has created different reality shows, corporate films, and TV commercials. She also worked with National Geographic and History and Discovery. Her work is shown in the show Lakshya 1971: Vayu Sena Ke Veer Yoddha, telecasted on Epic Channel.
She is the writer of the TV series India's Citizen Squad, which was telecasted on Discovery channel, and BSF: India's First Line of Defence. She has won many national and international awards. She won the Indian Television Academy Awards, Asian Television Awards, and also the Best Documentary Gold Award at Reinvent 2021 for Vande Bharat Flight IX1344, Hope to Survival for Discovery Channel. She also teaches and trains students in video journalism and documentaries. She has taught and set examination papers at reputed institutions like MCRC, Jamia Milia Islamia, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, The School of Planning and Architecture, and Indira Gandhi National Open University. She also organise Workshops on Media Training for corporate organisations like Decathalon.
