Mousumi Mou is an Indian actress, anchor, and mime artiste. She was born on November 12. After completing her school studies, she went to the Eden Mohila College, to pursue a Bachelor’s in Physics. Then, she did a Master’s in the first batch of Printing and Publications at the University of Dhaka. As a part-timer, she joined in events and activation, Prothom Alo, after completing her Bachelor’s. She has been interested in recitation, dancing, singing, and debating from a young age. Her parents wanted her to become a doctor and always encouraged her to participate in cultural competitions. However, she has participated in several debate competitions at the district level.

Mousumi Mou hosted many programmers earlier until she did the month-long BTV Book Fair live program in 2016. The same year, she also hosted the BTV national debate competition and the daily program Shuprobhat Bangladesh. As of now, Mousumi Mou is the host of seven television programs on several channels, including Lux Café Live. Later on, Mousumi Mou started sports anchoring with BPL Cricket Highlights in 2019. Mousumi Mou hosted the T20 Cricket World Cup in 2019. She also hosted IPL semi-finals and live shows, Cricket Mania & Cricket Extra during the Bangladesh versus Sri Lanka match.

Formerly the Vice President of Dhaka University Mime Action (DUMA), Mousumi Mou is then the advisor of the association. She has earned immense appreciation for her mime acts. In Delhi, she participated in an Inter-university competition in mime art. Mousumi Mou was honored with the Nari Shommanona Award from Kolkata-based Emon Mime Theatre. Also, she was awarded the Nari Shommanona Award by the Pantomime movement Chattogram.

Mousumi Mou has always been interested in acting. She was involved with the famous theatre group Prachyanat for over a year. Mousumi Mou attended a webinar arranged in the USA. In the webinar, Antony Blinkton, the US Secretary of State, invited eleven volunteers from various countries. As a social activist and a Muslim volunteer, Mousumi Mou participated in the webinar representing Bangladesh. She also collaborated with young mime performer Mir Lokman to join in the thirty-first Asia Solo Performance Festival 2022. It was held in Geochang and Gangnam, South Korea.
