He completed his schooling at one of the nearby schools in his city and later attended university for higher studies. Maity became an engineer after his college. Though, he decided to make his career in acting due to his keen interest in it. Afterward, he dived into the world of movies, shows and finally began his career in this field and began showcasing his exceptional talent. In 2014, he was seen for the first time on the television opera named Thik Jeno Love Story, which was broadcasted on the Bengali channel Star Jalsha. He played the supporting role of the character, Tuner Sengupta, in the show and attracted quite an audience across the nation. He's one of the considerable accomplishments was the Romantic Drama Series, Ei Chheleta Bhelbheleta, in which he portrayed the role of a leading character Abir. This show was telecasted on Zee Bangla and received enormous love from viewers worldwide and also gave immense attention to Maity.
