Indrapramit Roy is a well-known theatre artist and educator from West Bengal. He was born in 1964 in Kolkata. His father was a theatre actor and professor in the Drama department of Rabindra Bharati University. He studied Fine arts at the Visva Bharti University of Shanti Niketan. He has earned a Masters in Fine Arts from M.S University Varodara. Later, he got an Inlaks Scholarship to study Painting at the Royal College of Arts, London. In 2004-05, he got a scholarship from Fulbright to study in the USA for six months. He has also received Artist-in-Residence at The Siena Art Institute, Italy.

After nine years of education in arts, he moved to Cholamandal artists’ village, Chennai, and spent three to four years. Later, he returned to Vadodara to join M S University, Vadodara and become faculty. He has been an educator since 199, as well as a freelance artist.

Indrapramit has done 20 solo exhibitions. His articles were published in Times Higher Education supplement-London, Take on Art, Art India, Nandan, Art East, ArtVaarta, and many more. He has painted the art wall of Mumbai International Airport, which is 12* 26 feet.
