Rocket Movie Review

2.25 / 5.0

The story of Rocket will appeal to the audience. Sathish will surely manage to go places with this romantic film that is a prudent mix of several hit films of this genre. Shivashashi, the director, has managed to showcase the overconfident attitude of a person who is trapped in love.

Plot

Sathish Ninasam is caught in a couple of accidents on a particular night and succumbs to a coma. When he returns to normalcy after some months, he realizes that everything is same. There is also the romantic touch to the story with Sathish being smitten by Aishani Shetty; eventually he realizes she would be married sooner. Will Sathish win the love of Aishani? Watch the movie to find out.

Star Performances

Sathish Ninasam is indeed a revelation. He performs action, comedy and dance scenes with much gusto (but sometimes it seems as though he does those things that are typical of superstars). As for Aishani Shetty, she looks cute and showcased emotions well. The onscreen chemistry between Sathish Ninasam and Aishani is awesome. They share screen space in most of the portions of the movie. Achchyut Kumar, Sundar Raj (though has a brief role does a good job) and Neenasam Ashwath have done their roles well.

What’s there?

1. Music by Poorna Chandra is commendable, especially Hooga Barade Jeeva and Thannage Iddvi Naavu (sung by Puneeth Rajkumar).
2. The visuals are perfectly captured.
3.  The lyrics are penned nicely.
4. Cinematography by Advaitha Gurumurthy is excellent.
5.  Editing of P A Rao acts as one of the highlights of the movie.

What’s not there?

1. The screenplay could have been written in a better manner.
2. There is overdose of dialogues.
3. The story becomes engrossing only in the second half.

Verdict

Despite its negative points Rocket can be watched by those who love romantic films.
