The movie happens to be the first Kannada movie to be a crowd- funded by the common people. Once upon a time this created a trend due to crowd-funded by so many people. It was premiered at London Indian Film Festival on 20 July 2013 and won the beat film Audience Choice award. It was also remade in Tamil as Enakkul Oruvan.

Plot

In this movie, Lucia is a type of pill, or we can say drugs. The story plays in two part; one is real, and another is a dream. It starts with the introduction of a patient, who is in the coma and on the verge of death. The story is of the same person in real life and dream life, one in color and one in black and white respectively. A detective from Mumbai crime branch starts investing what condition caused this state of the patient. The movie starts with Nikki in a village near Mandya, who works in theater. He is suffering from insomnia for a long time. One night he comes into contact with a drug dealer, who gives him Lucia pill. Intake of the pill can get anyone the life they want. After taking these, he starts dreaming a virtual world where he finds himself as a successful actor called Nikhil. These two images of Nikki go on. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Shwetha, who is a model in dream and waitress in real life. It describes how Nikki’s life moves and what circumstances he faces. This sums up to an unpredictable ending, which is worth watching.

Analysis

As we know, this is the first Kannada movie to be crowd funded by people of India. Pawan Kumar announced about this film soon after completion of his first movie. He got the idea to work on this project and started visiting producers and actors for the fund. Arranging the fund for this project was not easy. After getting refused by everyone, he approached public through social sites. Due to this, the movie got a lot of publicity. People were eagerly waiting for it to launch. As a result, it succeeds to gather a huge crowd in the theater. Lucia was also in the race to Oscars and praised by many personalities.

Story

The story delivers ups and downs of a person in real life when he loves to be in his dream world.
