Vikram Vedha is the remake of the Tamil film of the same title. It is directed by the same writer-director duo, Pushkar Gayathri. The film is produced by "S Sashikanth," Chakravarthy Ramachandra, Vivek Agrawal, and Bhushan Kumar. "P S Vinod" cranked the camera, and editing is by Richard Kevin. Sam CS composed the background music, and the songs are by Vishal - Shekhar. Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, Satyadeep Mishra, and Sharib Hashmi are in the cast.
Plot
Vikram is a sincere cop working in Lucknow. He is given a task to finish off the gangster, Vedha, who has been on the records for every big criminal happening. When Vikram plots to arrest Vedha, he escapes sensibly. But, Vikram never expected that Vedha would surrender himself to the police. What’s the reason behind that? Was Vikram cheated? The rest of the film speaks about that.
Star Performance
Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan did justice to the given roles. Both of them fit the roles well and their body language and dialogue delivery are perfect.
Analysis
The writers cum directors, Pushkar and Gayathri, had kept their words for the genre. Unlike other neo-noir thrillers, this one didn’t skid away from its genre. The makers maintained the genre and scripted the simple story with entertaining twists and turns. The story is fresh to Bollywood. The Tamil version had “R Madhavan” and Vijay Sethupathi, whose roles are reprised by Saif and Hrithik, respectively. Though the Tamil version had an excellent performance from the lead stars, the Hindi version is also good in terms of performance. The BGM by Sam CS is terrific, and the songs are okayish. The production designer should be appreciated for showing a unique color tone.

Verdict
Though the remakes are often compared with the original, not many remakes stand true to their original. But, this film is exciting and will definitely be a treat for action movie lovers.
