is an NRI. After his father’s death, he visited India to dispose all the assets, and go back to his dwelling place, and restart his life, which was affected by Covid19. Dev’s father wants him to start a new business and he wants to fulfil his father’s dream. When he meets Anna, the popular astrologer, things start to change. Anna predicts the next happenings and tells Dev that he can’t leave India easily. But Dev doesn’t listen to Anna’s words and starts to execute his plans. However, his attempts fail as something blocks his efforts every time. What happens next? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Shreyas Talpade excels in his role with various emotions. His expressions and body language are fantastic, as usual. Vijay Raaz once again proves that he can excel in any role. Madhoo’s performance is neat. Aksha has done justice to the given role.
Analysis
The screenplay is the fulcrum of thriller flicks, and it is really strong in Kartam Bhugtam. The situations designed are realistic and relatable. The life in a small town is captured well. The screenplay’s strength is based on the performances, and the lead stars, Shreyas and Vijay, have done that and elevated the movie’s flow. The casting team gets full credit for picking the performers. The director should be appreciated for not inserting any songs for commercial purposes. Madhoo’s character should have been developed a bit more. The film is technically sound. Only the BGM appears a bit loud. The visuals are pretty decent, and the editing is neat.
