Airtel Super Singer 4 is a Tamil reality TV show that aired on Vijay TV in 2013. This is an Indian singing competition show in Tamil. This talent hunt show enables a huge amount of people to show their talents in singing and provides them a stage to compete and turn their dreams into reality. Super Singer is a popular singing television reality show based on a singing competition that aired on Star Vijay. The motto of the show was to find the best voice of the state. It is like a talent hunt show for singers. The show has run for many seasons which clearly is because of the immense viewership and popularity of the show. The judges for the auditions of the fourth season included Ananth Vaidyanathan, Edambara, S. P. Sailaja Devgan, Nithyasree Mahadevan, Pop Shalini, Mahathi, S. Sowmya, Malgudi Subha and Mano.

The timing for Super Singer Season 4 was Monday to Friday at 9 pm. The auditions for this season took place in three zones including Trichy, Chennai, and Kovai from December 2012 to January 2013. The auditions at the zonal level were open to people above 16 years of age. At this level, judges who took the trials were eminent singers from the music industry and also popular contestants who had participated in the previous seasons of the show.

Diwakar, Parvathy, and Syed were direct finalists whereas Sarath and Sonia had joined the show through wild-card round. The final contest to win the show was telecast on 1st February 2014. The selection of the winner was in the hands of the audience who were to vote for their favourite contestant to make them win. The final show saw two performances by each of the finalists. The two rounds included a challenging song in the first and another song of the contestants choice in the third round. Diwakar was declared the winner of the season. Syed Subahan was awarded the winner according to the Judges Choice Winner for the best performance in the final itself. He even received the second highest votes and won the first runner-up while Sarath Santhosh won the second runner-up. A certain amount was even given to Sonia and Parvathy.

Airtel Super Singer 4 is fourth of the Airtel Super Singer seasons, which premiered on 4 February 2013. It’s a talent hunt show designed find the best voice in Tamil Nadu. The show premiered in the Star Vijay, with each episode being an hour long. Now, starting with show auditions, they were mainly in the three zones: Trichy, Kovai, and Chennai, where all applicants above the age of 16 took part, spot registration started early from 8 A.M onwards. The show experienced an enormous participation from the people. The success of the previous season was visible from every moment of this season. The winners of the first seasons were on their way to become a pro, with some recording songs with well-known music directors. This season the finalists were: Diwakar, Syed Subahan, Parvathy Sarath Santhosh, Sonia (last two were the winners of the wild card round). Ma Ka Pa Anand, Bhavana hosted the show and Ananth Vaidyanathan was the voice trainer.

In the grand finale, many renowned singers were present at the venue. Singer S. Janaki was the guest of the honor at the event. The winner has to be decided by the audience poll. The show was taking place at Sun Palm Driving Rande & Golf Academy, Guindy. The day proceeded with two performances by each contestant, and then the final counting of the votes occurred through the SMS, IVR, and online. In the two rounds of singing, first was one of the most challenging songs and the second one is of their choice. Diwakar (winner) sang ‘Arabik kadal oram’ and in the next ‘Maama Maaplai’. Syed sang  ‘Sa Re Ga Mey’ and ‘Vidaikodu Engal Naade’. Sarath Santosh sang 'Mazhaye mazhaye' and for the next round ‘Om Shivoham’. Parvathy sang 'Rojavai Thalattum' , following 'Ra Raa'. Sonia in her turn sang 'Paadariyen' and 'Margazhi Thingal Allavaa'.

Diwakar won the competition and received an apartment worth of Rs. 60 Lakhs as the prize, Syed Subahan won in the Judges Choice category as the best performer in Grand Finale, he was also the 1^st Runner up taking home 1 KG of Gold. The second runner-up, Sarath Santhosh received a hefty Rs. 10 Lakh. The remaining two contestants Sonia and Parvathy bagged an amount of  Rs. 5 Lakhs each.
