Vettai is a crime thriller that features a team of Tamilian Singapore police solving cold cases, i.e., the cases that couldn't be solved and are left open. These cases involve the Indian community and immigrants. They fight for the migrant Indians and NRIs who can’t fight for themselves.

They solve murder cases, kidnappings, sexual assaults, corporate espionage, and similar cases. The season’s team had only three members from the initial team, Shan, Mugi, and Seelan. Others who joined the team are Meera in the second season, Diana, Shiva, Sakthi, and Maha in the third season. Just like the two seasons before this, the team members experienced a lot of strain among the team. They had to put their personal troubles aside and give their everything into solving the cases and bringing the criminals to justice.

Vettai: The final judgment is the third season of the popular Tamil television serial. The show falls under the hugely popular and entertaining genre of police procedural shows in which they get to see the behind-the-scene of a police investigation of different cases. People get to see the police’s perspective on various criminal cases and get to see how they go about solving a case. This is the reason why police procedural shows have become so popular. The show Vettai is a bit different. It is much more like an anthology series in which the central characters remain the same throughout but the case or mission they are after, changes from episode to episode. This gives the show a never-ending edge. People never get bored even after three seasons of the show as each episode tells a different story. The show follows a bunch of officers who belong to a fictional special task force. These officers work on cold cases which are cases that normal police officers failed to solve because of lack of evidence.

These officers from special task force take these cases and then work their way up and solve them with the help of evidence and statements from the victim. They, however, never get the credit for solving the cases. Police take upon these cases once they are solved and take all the credit. This is done to protect the anonymity of the special task force. The show has a stellar cast which includes some very prominent television actors. Arvind Naidu plays Shan, Eswari Gunasagar plays Meera, Gunalan Morgan plays Mugi and Roxanne Sylvia plays Diana.
