Its recent production "Thirumathi Selvam" (Mrs. Selvam) is a successful tele serial family drama with fans from all sections of television viewers.

Thirumathi Selvam is written and directed by 'Kumaran', which started its journey in 2007 November. Originally it was a daytime drama. As more and more fans liked the serial, Sun Television decided to shift it to prime time to reach more audiences. Thirumathi Selvam is a Tamil drama serial telecasted on Sun TV from 2007 to 2013. Thirumathi Selvam was directed by S Kumaran and produced by Vikatan Televistas. The first episode started on November 5, 2007, and the series was telecast from Monday to Friday. Sanjeev and Abitha were playing the leading roles of Selvam and Thirumathi Selvam, along with Vadivukkarasi, Rindhya, and a few other supporting artists. Thirumathi Selvam was also dubbed into other languages, including Devatha in Telugu on Gemini TV, into Malayalam named Nilavilakku on Surya TV, in Kannada named Jokali in Udhaya TV, all of which were produced by Vikatan Televistas.

The baseline of the story is about a Mechanic Selvam acted by Sanjeev, who decides to stay single without getting married because of his single income, even though working as hard as many others still struggle to manage his family's needs. He sacrificed his education to make his younger brother and sister get schooling. Luckily, after seeing her at a temple, he falls in love with Archana, played by Abitha. To get away with this marriage, he is lying to the bride's family that he is a Mechanical Engineer. Later after the wedding, Archana comes to know that he is not educated at all. Also, he is just a Mechanic, and this, in turn, makes her hate Selvam and refuses to live with him, but as time passes by, she started to understand Selvam's love for her and goodness in his character and decides to start living her married life with him.

As time passes, Selvam is tricked and looted by his stepmother Bagyam played by Gauthami. His assets, including the house and mechanic shed, were looted by Bagyam. They come to the platform for a dwelling, where he is figured out by his friend, who then helps them start their new life. Nandhinee, acted by Rindhya, one of Selvam's friends, helps him and Archana in their misery and helps to enhance their living standards. After a long twist and turn in Selvam's life caused by Nandhinee, Selvam goes to prison and spoils Archana's peaceful life. Finally, the story ended in 2013 with an anti-climax by separating Selvam and Archana for the rest of their lives. It also shows that Selvam again lands on the platform due to the evil and unwelcome friendship and habits.
