After the release of his two earlier films, Yeh Mohabbat Hai and Nayee Padosan, which did not give him recognition, he made a vow that he would not sign any films, if he was not sure of the entire team cast. He is a rare actor, who wants to give 100% to the film requirements in which he is given a chance to act. Before his life had changed with the release of ‘Ugly’, he also launched his own production house Filmtonic, that would produce TV shows. But he never acted in any of the shows that he had produced. Recently, he did the role of Muhammed Ali Jinnah in the 10-part serial, Samvidhaan: The Making of the Constitution of India under the direction of Shyam Benegal which was broadcasted on Rajya Sabha TV. He also did a pivotal role on Zee TV’s Begu Sarai along with Shweta Tiwari.
Narendra also did several films like Fun2tosh and Nanak Dev. He acted as Baji Rao in the box office Telugu film, Chatrapati in year 2005. Sagar Saini is a renowned TV actor who has made several appearances in a number of TV shows over the past few years. He marked his debut with the biopic film Veer Savarkar in 2001. Though he has worked on several Bollywood movies, the majority of them has been just cameo appearances. He worked with actor Irfan Khan in the movie Pratha. He played the role of Manoj Vajpai’s brother in the 2003 movie Pinjar. He has acted in both the installments of Munnabhai series. In the first installment he played the role of “nariyal pani waala” whereas in the second installment, he played the part of Cuckoo, Boman Irani’s secretary.
Some of his other notable films are One Two Three, Matrubhoomi, Sun Zara and the latest being A Wednesday. In the movie A Wednesday, he played the part of a Muslim terrorist Ikhlaque Ahmad. He also made cameo appearances in movies like 3 Idiots and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. He played the role of Javed Jaffrey’s servant in the former, whereas a bank manager in the latter.

He also appeared in the courtroom drama series, Adaalat on Sony TV in 2012. Raj played as the Demon Tarakasur in the mythological drama series, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev on Life OK. He was also seen as Ravana on DD National’s Sankatmochan Jai Hanuman and in 2013, he appeared as Sangram Singh Rathore in the comedy sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV. He also plays as Kalyavan in another mythological drama series, Mahabharat which was aired on STAR Plus in 2013. He joins the casts of the fantasy series, The Adventures of Hatim on Life OK in 2014. Raj made a cameo appearance as Kirtaaf who abducted Perizaad (played by Pooja Banerjee) and Kasim (played by Rajbeer Singh) to make Zargam (played by Chandan Anand) happy.
Raj was cast as RK in the bilingual crime film, Satya 2 under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma in 2013. In the same year, he appeared as Angar Singh in the partly animated film, Main Krishna Hoon. He was also known for acting on Bhojpuri films including Dulhe Raja by Dinesh Lal Yadav and Rani Banal Jwala. Raj also donned the upcoming neo-noir drama film, Bombay Velvet by Anurag Kashyap. He played as an ex-army who owns a boxing ring where the main lead, Ranbir Kapoor is working as a boxer.
Raj is also a producer of Bhojpuri and Hindi films. He is planning to start a new film but he is reluctant to talk about it right now.

In Bollywood, Hegde first appeared in the movie Ajay with Sunny Deol, Karisma Kapoor, Reena Roy, Kiran Kumar and Suresh Oberoi. The film was directed and produced by Suneel Darshan. The film was released on 20 December 1996 and the music of the film was composed by Anand-Milind.
His second film was Barsaat : A Sublime Love Story which was released on 19 August 2005. The director and the producer of this film was Suneel Darshan. In this film Hegde worked with Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Shakti Kapoor and Manmeet Singh.
