Raj Premi is a well-known Indian actor, who does negative roles in most of his shows. He was first seen on DD Metro’s
Shri Krishna
in 1993, where he essayed the role of Shishupal. In 1997, he was starred on Sanjay Khan’s television series,
Jai Hanuman
; a story that portrays the life of the Hindu God, Hanuman. Raj played the role of Hanuman along with
Irrfan Khan
and
Siraj Mustafa Khan
. He also acted as Kans/Kongsho on Sagar Pictures’
Jai Shri Krishna
on Colors. In 2010, the actor played the main negative lead as Surya Narayan Singh in the drama serial,
Matti Ki Banno
on Colors. In 2011, he played as Ahirya on Sagar Arts’ historical drama,
Chandragupta Maurya
on Imagine TV. It was later re-aired on Dangal TV after it was shut down by Imagine TV due to unknown reason. Raj was also cast in the drama soap, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya on STAR Plus. He played the role of Makhnu Singh who demands an Rs 5 Crore ransom for abducting Sajjan Singh (played by
Anupam Shyam
) in 2011. He also appeared in the courtroom drama series, Adaalat on Sony TV in 2012. Raj played as the Demon Tarakasur in the mythological drama series, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev on Life OK. He was also seen as Ravana on DD National’s Sankatmochan Jai Hanuman and in 2013, he appeared as Sangram Singh Rathore in the comedy sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV. He also plays as Kalyavan in another mythological drama series, Mahabharat which was aired on STAR Plus in 2013. He joins the casts of the fantasy series, The Adventures of Hatim on Life OK in 2014. Raj made a cameo appearance as Kirtaaf who abducted Perizaad (played by
Pooja Banerjee
) and Kasim (played by
Rajbeer Singh
) to make Zargam (played by
Chandan Anand
) happy.
Raj was cast as RK in the bilingual crime film, Satya 2 under the direction of
Ram Gopal Varma
in 2013. In the same year, he appeared as Angar Singh in the partly animated film,
Main Krishna Hoon
. He was also known for acting on Bhojpuri films including
Dulhe Raja

Dinesh Lal Yadav
and Rani Banal Jwala. Raj also donned the upcoming neo-noir drama film,
Bombay Velvet

Anurag Kashyap
. He played as an ex-army who owns a boxing ring where the main lead,
Ranbir Kapoor
is working as a boxer.
Raj is also a producer of Bhojpuri and Hindi films. He is planning to start a new film but he is reluctant to talk about it right now.
