In the year 1990, he played the role of 2nd Lieutenant Rama Raghoba Rane in the TV series 'Param Vir chakra'. Later in 1991 Sunil got a major lead character in a musical movie named 'Baharon Ke Manzil (1991)'. Sunil belonged to an ordinary family; his father was a professor in a medical college. It was his father’s last will, that, when he dies, his body has to be donated to the medical college in order to assist them in their studies. Sunil fulfilled his wish and handed over the body after he died, he said that it was hard for him, but it was his father’s last wish, and no rituals or customs are more important than a dead man’s last wish.
