Sanjay Swaraj was born and brought up in Delhi. At a young age he developed a keen passion for acting. He joined the National School of Drama and performed many stage shows and theatrical acts. He later came to Mumbai to try his luck in the small screen. Accompanied by good looks, a deep voice Sanjay is a multilingual, fluent in Persian, French, Punjabi, Bangla. His diversified skills got him a role in 2002 in Akhri Inteqam, directed and written by

. Although the film failed to do well at the box office, the new face of Sanjay Swaraj was recognised as an upcoming talent. He performed in other films and television shows like Parwana (2003), Waisa Bhi Hota Hai-2, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, a few of them hits like Inteqam-A Perfect Game. But it was only after Musafir (2004) and The Rising:Ballad Of Mangal Pandey (2005) that he established a firm stronghold in the industry.
Lately, Sanjay has been involved with a number of famous tv soaps like Parvarish, Great Maratha and films like Anant Mahadevan’s Staying Alive (2012).
