The show revolves around two families- Vishwas and Segarans. Both families have their businesses that have been running for generations. The Vishwas have a wedding business whereas the Seragans have a funeral business. The inheritor of the Seragan funeral business is Saravanan, who also works in a theater. Vithya is Vishwa’s daughter and has her wedding and events business separated from her father’s business. They cross paths in the theater where Saravanan is performing. Vithya takes a liking to him and wants to sponsor his plays.

It starts a friendship between them. Malini, who is also a performer in Saravanan’s theater works in Vishwa’s business. She likes Saravanan and hopes to impress him. She does it like interfering in Saravanan’s life. Saravanan refuses Malini’s advances and expresses that he likes Vithya. Saravanan accidentally blurts out that he has a funeral business even after knowing Vithya’s hate for it. However, he covers it up by saying he has a catering business. Vithya’s father, Viswa, makes her meet Rishi for marriage However, Vithya is scared to disclose her relationship. She goes to meet Rishi and finds him to be a good and decent person. Rishi starts liking her. Vithya is faced with a dilemma on whom to choose. Meanwhile, for the upcoming play of Romeo and Juliet, Malini and Saravanan were practicing a dance when they got too close. Vishwa comes to know about Saravanan, and he tries to check his background. He plans to talk about Vithya’s marriage to Saravan’s family without informing her. He reaches his house only to realize that he is a family member of the Seragans. There, Vishwa and Saravanan’s father, Sethupathy reveal that the two families worked together in the business of weddings. But due to a certain issue, the Seragans left that business. Saravanan and Vithya’s relationship was able to salvage their relationship, and they wanted to marry each other. But both families are strictly against it due to their differences. Vithya and Saravanan decide to marry each other without their parent’s blessings. They get married, and Saravanan brings Vithya home. The drama in both households intensifies. The families are not willing to let go of the past. The couple has found solace in their friend’s house and has denounced their families.
