The story starts with RJ Vedhika. She works the night belt at the Innisai 90 FM radio station. She is one of the best employees of the station due to her ‘Horror Nights’ concept at night, where she recites horror stories. One such night, after her shift was over, she started hearing frightening sounds and was killed by someone. Her death caused mayhem in the office as her shift got the most ratings. The station head asks RJ Samar to head the night show. Samar and Vedhika were best friends, so he was shattered by her death.

He introduces a similar idea ‘Marma Medai’ for the night shift, where he would tell stories related to horror, mystery, and unseen energies. Unlike Vedhika, he would not tell new different stories each episode but continue the same story. The first night, Samar starts with a mysterious story of Or Iravu, a tale of two young men getting trapped in an eerie bungalow. After his first night shift, he started experiencing mysterious things. He was seeing unexplainable things. He was encountering the characters of his own story in real life. He was utterly confused and scared. He thought that he was hallucinating and dismissed it. But it was real. The second night, after his shift, he experienced the characters again. The strange things continue. The events and the characters start coinciding with Vedika’s death. He thought his colleagues were playing tricks on him to prank him. Every night, the characters haunt him. They warn him to tell the truth. But Samar does not realize what they are talking about.

Meanwhile, the head of the police team that was investigating Vedhika’s death, is also murdered. His partner firmly believes that he was murdered due to getting too close to Vedhika’s case. Samar begins to lose his mind. He thinks he is trapped in a twisted game. One night, he experiences his peers and the police officers in a courtroom made in his house. The ghost of Vedhika and the dead officer are also present. There, the judge haunts him to tell the truth. Samar reveals that he had killed Vedika because the concept of scary nights was his idea that Vedhika stole. Vedhika also falsely promised Samar to make him a partner in the night show. Samar killed her out of jealousy. He also killed the police officer because he discovered the truth. After this, it is revealed that Samar’s life was merely a story of Marma Medai of the radio station. He did not exist in reality. He was solely a character of a story.
