In the heart of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, crime finds its way early in the morning. A high-profile politician has been missing from his home for a long period. The town becomes a hot spot for the police. The police are trying to use every resource to solve the case as a notable person is missing. The politician was on good terms with the higher authorities of law. There is a lot of pressure on the police. Having no option, the police call for a veteran ACP, Robert Vasudevan. Robert was a well-known investigative officer in his time. He was the epitome of sharpness and wit in the police force. He approached every case with a keen intellect, and quick thinking, and meticulous attention to detail. 

The current case’s investigative officer is Anita Subramanium. She is a strict woman and likes to do things according to the books. She is a straight-minded officer who likes to play by the rules. Having been introduced to Robert, she notices his eccentric ways of looking at things. Robert’s unusual ways of investigating things make Anita feel unsure about his capability. She is having second thoughts about Robert.  The politician, Sivakumar, is shown to be stuck in a dark room and tortured by the abductor. The story turns back into time in the late 80s when he is shown as an evil man committing crimes. Robert is also taken on a detour to his past that shows the audience his demons. 

The evidence points towards an international school in the city. Robert keeps an eye on the activities going on at that school. An NGO comes to light. Heera, a worker in that NGO, and a janitor from the school become the prime suspects. When Robert finally reaches the location of Sivakumar, Sivakumar has escaped, and the abductor has fled. In the turn of events, Sumitharan is found to be the culprit. But another man confesses to the crime and Sumitharan is not arrested. The case seems solved, and Roberts goes back to his old life.
