“Vikatan Awards” is an event which is held every year for presenting awards, aired on Vikatan TV, Tamil. “Vikatan” is a popular Tamil Television channel. The channel is known for telecasting shows, serials, and news which focuses on infotainment. “Vikatan Awards”, the event which presents awards to the winners in different categories from the Tamil film industry. Next category was the “Best actress.” The winner of this category was Malavika, for the film Cukoo. The movie is based on two individuals who are visually challenged. She has given her career best performance in the film. “Best Film” of the year 2014 was won by the movie “Sathuranga Vettai.” The film was directed by H. Vinoth. The genre of the film is thrilling and the plot revolves around a skilled con man, called Gandhi. Ranjith bagged the “Best Director” award for his work, Madras. Next came the very important category, Best Supporting Actor. Best supporting actor male went to to Kalayarasan for the film, Madras. The best supporting actress award was won by Saranya for her work in VIP. Comedians can be compared to catalysts. They enhance the entertaining standards of a film and they deserve to be celebrated.
