The episodes was directed by G.R. Krishnan. Sarayu is a family oriented television series from which the name of the story is also the name of the lead character in the story, Sarayu. The show was premiered on May 13, 2013 and will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7PM.

Her husband, Balachandran dies shortly after their marriage and Sarayu got her husband’s job. Also, she is a bold woman and she shows as an example on how women takes most of their responsibilities. She handled all her obligations smoothly. Sarayu takes good care of her children and their family.

Rajani’s husband is working in Gulf and she has an affair with Narendran (played by Kishore) who was her classmate. Once, when Sarayu was about to take a bath, she sighted Rajani with Narendran in the bathroom. So she elevated an alarm. Meanwhile, Rajani ran away from there before Janaki came rushing there. The mother-in-law misjudges Sarayu on seeing her instead of Rajani and that is where the story goes.
