The story is about a wealthy businessman Ravichandra Varman and a girl Sreelakshmi. Ravi is a middle-aged single man, and Lakshmi is from a middle-class family. Ravi lives with his mom, and he has a brother. Lakshmi gets a job at Ravi’s office, and they share a good bonding. After a certain time, both started loving each other, but without conveying. In between, a situation creates some misunderstanding, and they were about to miss each other. But fate didn’t let them go. Ravi gets a comment that he is spoiling the life of the young girl, and hence he decides to stay away. What happens next? The rest of the story deals with the decision taken by Ravi and Lakshmi.

Written by Sujesh and directed by Dr. S Janardhanan this serial was premiered on 10th February 2020 and continued up until 8th April 2023 with a total of 875 episodes each with a running time of 22  minutes approximately. Sree Lakshmi is portrayed as a kind-hearted 23-year-old woman while RaviChandra is around 45 years of age.

As the story progresses we see Ravi Chandra and Sree Lakshmi get close to each other because somehow or the other they keep on meeting at different events. Ravi is attracted to Sree's attitude and kindness and he starts to develop feelings for her. He decides to offer her work in his company which is not liked by Sandra who happens to like him. However, after getting the job Sree Lakshmi works more efficiently and successfully than Sandra which impresses Ravi Chandra. His affection towards Sree increases which results in his best friend Rajaram telling Ravi Chandra that the age difference between him and Sree might not work out at all in a relationship.

Ravi Chandra considers the opinion and eventually decides to create a distance between himself and Sree Lakshmi for her own good. Sree Lakshmi gets hurt with this development between them but she doesn't voice her own opinion regarding the matter. When Sree's marriage is arranged with their neighbour's son Ravi Chandra decides to help with the wedding arrangements but eventually, the marriage gets called off because of animosity between the two families. Sree and Ravi both still having feelings for each other decide to tell their families and eventually, after much persuasion, the families accept their relationship. They both get married to each other soon after this.

Sree finds out about Rajnandini who happens to be the first wife of Ravi Chandra who also happens to be dead. She asks her husband about Rajnandini but Ravi Chandra somehow evades the question. Soon after a few months, an entity possesses Sree Lakshmi and reveals herself to be Rajnandini. It is also revealed that Ravi Chandra had previously killed his own wife Rajnandini to get her property for his own and the fact that Sree Lakshmi is the reincarnation of the same Rajnandini who is hell-bent on getting revenge upon Ravi Chandra and killing him. How she does that is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
