The show was first premiered on 2005 and Kuldeep made his entry as a participant in its third version. The winner of this season was Kapil Sharma. Along with Kuldeep Dubey many other talented comedians like Sudesh Lehari, Rajiv Thakur, Raju Srivastava and Chandan Prabhakar had appeared in this season.

As a Bollywood actor, Kuldeep first appeared in Agnipankh. This Indian film was directed by Sanjiv Puri and was released on 27 February 2004. Kuldeep played his character with various Bollywood actors like Jimmy Shergill, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Rahul Dev, Shamita Shetty, Divya Dutta and Richa Pallod.

His second film in Bollywood was Chitkabrey in which he played the character of Amaan Ali Siddiqui. In this film he worked with Ravi Kishan, Rahul Singh, Rajesh Shringarpore and Sanjay Swaraj. The film was directed by Suneet Arora. The film was released on 26th August, 2011.
