Rajeev Bhardwaj

Rajeev Bharadwaj is the actor of Indian origin widely known for playing mythological characters in TV shows like Chandragupta Maurya(2011). He played the character of Badrabhatt in it. Rajeev is a professional computer engineer and more of a social worker. He worked in the corporate world for a while but left as soon as he received Nikhil Sinha’s offer of playing the role of Maharishi Kashyap in the serial Devon Ke Dev Mahadev. It was his debut show, and he got to play such a bold character.

The name Rajeev Bharadwaj remains in the news often as he is one of the actors who finds happiness in helping the society. Recently, Gates Foundation organized a campaign for women empowerment, for the development of orphans and for the cure of cancer patients. This campaign was anchored by Rajeev. He didn't just give his name to the campaign but also devoted his time equally.

He did a rigorous promotion of the campaign in states like Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal, etc. He travelled these states especially to explain people the importance of this campaign and convinced them to donate money for it. He also entertained people by implying different techniques. Because of his help, the Foundation managed to collect lakhs of rupees as a donation, which will be now used to bring a social change in the country. To honor Rajeev, Gate Foundation kept a felicitation ceremony in Delhi where he was awarded for his outstanding contribution towards the society, and they named him "The Person of the Year."

His proud mother received the award on his behalf. Even after doing so much, Rajeev is a simple and a down-to-Earth person. He was recommended by his journalist friend for the campaign. On asking Rajeev says, women empowerment is necessary for both rural and urban areas where women are downtrodden and are not allowed to pursue their dreams.
