Nandakishore is a district collector. He and his wife, Hema, experience a tragic loss when their daughter Meera gets lost. Kanmani is a humble village girl, who is a survivor of a landslide. She looks exactly like Meera. Nandakishore and Hema adopt Kanmani and promise to give her a good life. Kanmani was living a happy and loved life until Meera reappears. Meera was used to get all the love and respect that came with being the only child in a respected household. She couldn’t adjust to her new life where she had to share everything with Kanmani.
