Anish P Tom

Anish is an audio engineer. He was born on August 25, 1987. He studied at Marthorma High School, Pathanamthitta, and St.Thomas Higher Secondary School, Kozhencherry. Further, he did his graduation with B.Sc from St. Thomas College. He did a diploma in sound engineering from SAE College, Chennai. He started his career in 2009 as a trainee at basis studios in Ranni. He then joined Max Studio for an internship and remained there until 2015. Anish P. Tom is an award-winning sound engineer and designer involved in esteemed projects such as Bajirao Mastani, Drishyam and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. He has been in the sound engineering industry for over ten years. He has worked for Indian and international media firms specializing in 5.1 Dolby mixing, stereo mixing, sound designing and re-recording. Anish started his professional career as a Sound Engineer with Vismayas Max Studio Complex located in Kerala (2009 – 2015), where he gained skills in ADR, sound FX editing, dialogue editing, and mix re- recording. He became part of Disney Star India (Asianet Star Communications Pvt. Ltd) in 2015 as a Senior Sound Engineer. He was not only instrumental in mastering in-house and promotional poles but also headed a team of post-producing sound engineers while working at the company to deliver premium quality sound and rendering support for Avid product technology.

Anish has turned into a Dubbing Mixer and Sound Designer in freelancing, taking up quite several works in the UK and abroad. Since 2022, he has been part of The Bidding Room, Bridge of Lies, The Yorkshire Auction House and Food Stories. The projects he has done across freelancing span for close to 9 years, and he has successfully engaged in re-recording mixing, sound editing, and production sound for films and series. Anish has a Diploma in Audio Engineering, obtained at SAE College Chennai, India (2008-2009) and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, India (2005-2008), specializing in Physics. His forte combined with his precision has also turned him into a quality audio post production professional. Based in Kerala India and London UK, he seems to expand his focus perceptively on sound design and mixing on various projects for audience sound experience across the globe.
