The serial was about the Hindu deity Krishna, who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The serial showed several excerpts of his life, and was derived from several Hindu holy books. The serial showed scenes from the whole of the deity’s life and was thus described by one of the viewers as a ‘biography of Lord Krishna’s life’. The serial also mixed in the stories of some other mythological characters such as Arjun and his son, Abhimanyu.
