Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa was a creation of Rose Productions produced by Shrishti Arya Behl and directed by
Bhushan Patel
. It was aired in 2004 when the Indian Television was dominated by Saas –Bahu family dramas. The serial had a different kind of storyline and gained immediate popularity due to being different in nature and characters from most of the popular serials of those times. The story is of three friends who come from different walks of life and have their own views about life and women but still they are very good friends who stand together at any pleasure or crisis. The story revolves round Aditya or Adi (played by Mihir Misra) who is VP in his father’s company, Chetan (played by
Kushal Punjabi
) who is working in ad agency and a real playboy and then Dipankar (
Vishal Singh
), a financial analyst but uncomfortable in female company, with a truly dominating elder sister Vishakha.
Aditya is searching for his dream girl and essentially a one-woman man, whereas Chetan is a flirt and believes in ‘love them… leave them’ ideology. On the other hand, there is Dipankar who is very confused and uncomfortable with girls. All three of them are in constant pursuit of their women and comic situations have been created in this pursuit creating various difficult situations and then making efforts to come out of it. With its lovable, comic and hilarious situations, KHKN HAD created ripples in the TV watching community in the country. It was very much popular with those people who were looking for a change from the routine shows aired on the TV. In an era of female dominated serials, a story of three boys with enough comic situations was like a fresh breeze and therefore received a warm welcome from the viewers.
The serial was aired on Zee TV from 8th November 2004 and after successfully running for 112 episodes, the last episode was aired on 19th May 2005.
