Uttaran'. Born on 4th April 1979, his first appearance was as Ballu, the ghost, in kids’ series, Ruby Duby Hub Dub, aired on Sahara One in 2004. This was followed by his portrayal as Sandy in Zee TV’s '
Lavanya' and an appearance as the assassin, Gunshot, in Karma – Koi Aa Raha Hai Waqt Badalney, a superhero drama series aired on Star Plus.
He played the roles of Prem in Piya ka Ghar, Kabeer in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Kapil Singhania in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, all of which aired on Zee TV. Gaurav Chopra is well-known for his performances as the antagonist, Samay Khurana, in Sony TV’s Aisa Des Hai Mera, and Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan in Left Right Left, a unique military drama serial aired on SAB TV. Nach Baliye 2' and 'Zara Nachke Dikha' on Star One and also featured as a contestant on NDTV Imagine’s reality shows, Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout and Pati Patni Aur Woh. He currently hosts 'Saavdhan India', a crime show aired on Star Utsav.
He has acted in Hindi spoof comedy film 'Ghoom' and Tamil spy film 'Ottran', and has even had a stint in Hollywood as a French Journalist in Blood Diamond (2006). Gaurav Chopra will play the lead role, Taimur Ansaar, in Rangdari, an upcoming action movie.
